A practice of measure
Internal medicine specialist trained in Switzerland and holder of the International Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine, Dr Michael Coniglio practises in the Paris region. A member of the French Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgical Dermatology (AFME), he combines solid skin expertise with rigorous clinical practice.
Having graduated summa cum laude, Dr Michael Coniglio applies the same medical rigour to achieving subtle, natural results, while respecting each patient’s wellbeing and individuality.
Reasons for consultation
The face or body is assessed first, and treatment is considered only if it is appropriate. Many patients arrive without a specific request: the consultation helps clarify what may be possible, or establish that no procedure would be useful. The aim is a discreet, balanced result that supports wellbeing without drawing attention to itself.
Aesthetic medicine is medical care, not a beauty service that can simply be delegated. It requires an examination, and a consultation may end without treatment.
What guides the choices
Start with the face as it is and what can be treated without changing its identity. Address skin quality first when that is the main concern. Proceed in stages, assess the result once it has settled, and stop when further treatment would add no benefit.
The consultation
The consultation begins with your concerns, even if they are not yet clearly defined, followed by your medical history and an examination. A treatment may then be proposed, or none at all. Pre-treatment photographs are generally taken for the medical record as medico-legal documentation. Fees, expected recovery and potential side effects are explained beforehand, including any warning signs that require prompt medical advice.
