Mesotherapy

Aesthetic mesotherapy uses many shallow injections across an area to support skin quality, not to add volume.

What is the treatment for?

It may be considered for dull, dehydrated or unevenly textured skin when a surface treatment alone seems insufficient and a volumising filler would be excessive. It is similar in principle to skinboosters, but the injected formulation may differ.

It does not erase a deep wrinkle and does not treat a skin disease. Claims of “fat-melting” or exaggerated firming have no place here.

Who is it for?

For someone comfortable with gradual treatment, sometimes over several sessions, and a result that may not be obvious to others.

An allergy to a component, an infection, an active skin disease, pregnancy or certain medications may lead to postponing or declining the session. The list of components is part of consent.

Areas concerned

The face, neck and décolletage are the regions most often mentioned. The scalp and the body are not added to this page: they are not among the practice’s confirmed indications.

How a session generally unfolds

The skin is examined, cleaned and disinfected, then the chosen mixture is injected at many superficial points. The session is short compared with the time spent explaining.

A plan of several sessions may be proposed. It should remain open to revision. If the skin does not change, the plan can be stopped or adjusted.

What kind of result

Any improvement in radiance, skin comfort or texture is gradual. Some people notice little difference; this should be acknowledged and may be a reason to stop treatment.

How it changes over time

The effect of a single session is temporary. A planned course may be more beneficial than one treatment, but the interval between sessions is determined individually.

Possible after-effects

Redness, stinging, small bruises or a dotted look are common for a few hours to a few days. Allergic reactions are rare but possible, which is why knowing the composition matters.

General precautions

Allergies, recent treatments and any products already applied or injected must be mentioned. After the session, you may be advised to avoid irritating cosmetics, sun and heat for a short time.

Questions

Is mesotherapy a product?

No. It is a way of injecting. What is in the syringe is a separate decision, which must be named before the session.

What is the difference from skinboosters?

The technique is close (superficial micro-injections). Skinboosters rely on hyaluronic acid. Mesotherapy may use other compositions. The choice depends on the skin and the goal.

Is it painful?

The injections are superficial and numerous. The sensation varies. Everything is done to minimise pain.

Can it be done at the same time as a peel?

Not systematically. It depends on the intensity of each procedure and the state of the skin. The decision is made in consultation.
